Salons of Substance (SOS) sponsored an SOS Cut-a-Thon on Sunday, October 10, 2010 in support of San Diego Youth Services Store Front.
All proceeds from the participating salons were donated to San Diego Youth Services for their Store Front program, a 20-bed emergency shelter and the only one in San Diego specifically designed for homeless, runaway and “street” youth. Its goals are to return young people to their families or to find alternative living arrangements and to prevent their sexual exploitation. Services begin with Street Outreach teams that find and offer resources to homeless young people. The Storefront Day Drop-In Center provides street kids with a safe place between the end of the school day and the opening of the night shelter.
Thanks to all who participated!
